St. Kitts and Nevis has issued new guidelines for inbound travelers to the country, on the 9th of December 2021. Vaccinated returning nationals, tourists, or international travelers over the age of 18 who have a negative RT-PCR test are no longer required to do the following:

  • Undergo quarantine beginning on the 11th of December 2021
  • Take an RT-PCR test upon arrival
  • Take an approved taxi from the airport

Additionally, vaccinated inbound travelers can be picked up by any private vehicle from the airport’s parking lot.

On the other hand, unvaccinated returning nationals are required to do the following:

  • Quarantine for 9 days
  • Take a COVID-19 test on the 9th day of quarantine and get a negative result before they can be released
  • Travel to the quarantine site by taking only COVID-19 approved taxis at the airport

Unvaccinated travelers between the ages of 12 and 17 are also required to follow the same procedures above.

However, unvaccinated travelers between the ages of 12 and 17 who are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents are required to take an RT-PCR test within 24 hours. If and when their result is negative, they will be released to the general public. Children below the age of 12 who are accompanied by their parents will be subjected to the same rules as their parents, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Unvaccinated travelers who want to quarantine at home will be allowed to do so but they will have to foot the bill for their security. They also need to fill out and submit the home quarantine form which can be accessed at www.covid19.gov.kn.

Additionally, persons under the age of 18 who are classified as children and who must undergo quarantine for 9 days, must be accompanied by an adult.

All inbound travelers to the country are now required to fill out and submit the Customs, Border, and Health Entry Form which can be accessed at www.knatravelform.kn before they depart for St. Kitts and Nevis. However, it must be noted that filling out the form and submitting it does not guarantee entry into the country. Approval must still be obtained from the Ministry of National Security.

It must be noted that all inbound travelers to St. Kitts and Nevis, whether returning national or tourists, are required to submit a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test done within 72 hours of travel at an ISO 17025/CLIA accredited laboratory.
