Trump Launches Website for $5m Gold Card
Published on: 16 June 2025

President Donald Trump launched the official website for the Trump Gold Card on Wednesday, making the announcement on his Truth Social platform.

For $5 million, individuals can apply for the Gold Card visa, which will put them on the fast track to obtaining a US citizenship. The website offers minimal information on the launch date and details of the visa, but has a signup form that requests individuals to input their names and the region they’re from. There are eight regions to choose from, namely Europe, Asia (including the Middle East), North America, Oceania, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Africa.

Applicants must also state if they’re a business or an individual and if they’re applying for themselves or someone else. When selecting the business option, applicants can apply for 1-4, 5-9, or 10+ individuals.

Upon submitting the form, applicants will receive a verification code that they will need to enter within 10 minutes.

President Trump made the first announcement regarding the Gold Card in February, stating that it would offer its holders the same privileges as individuals with green cards. The new visa scheme is aimed at attracting wealthy individuals to invest in the US in exchange for residency.

The Gold Card visa is suggested to replace the existing investment-based visa program called EB-5. The EB-5 visa offers applicants a green card in exchange for an investment between $800,000 and $1.05 million.

According to the website, those who sign up will be notified the moment access opens for the visa.
