As of 2020, holders of a Portuguese passport have visa-free access to 191 countries ranking the Portuguese passport on sixth place in the world.

Brazil Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Brazil. A 90 day stay is granted within a 180 day period for tourist purposes. Travelers are eligible for an extention.
Canada Holders of a Portuguese passport do not require a visa to travel to Canada. If travelers are arriving by air, they are required to apply for an ETA. This is valid for 5 years, allows the traveler multiple entries but the traveler cannot stay for more than 180 days per visit.
Chile Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Chile. A 90 day stay is granted upon entry for tourist purposes only.
Colombia Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Colombia. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay for tourist purposes but can apply for an extention for up to 180 days.
Costa Rica Citizens of Portugal do not require a visa to travel to Costa Rica. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay on arrival for tourist purposes.
Ecuador Holders of a Poruguese passport do not require a visa to travel to Ecuador. A 90 day stay for tourist purposes is granted upon arrival.

Mexico Portuguese passport holders do not need a visa when travelling to Mexico. Travelers are expected to purchase tourist cards either from the airline they are travelling with or upon arrival in Mexico. A 180 day stay is granted for tourist purposes.
Nicaragua Holders of a Portuguese passport do not require a visa to enter Nicaragua. Travelers are expected to have a passport 6 months valid from the day of arrival. A 90 day stay is granted for tourist purposes.
Panama Portuguese citizens do not require a visa when travelling to Panama. All they need is a passport and upon entry, will be granted 180 days for tourist travel.
Paraguay Portuguese citizens do not require a visa when travelling to Paraguay. All they need is a passport and upon entry, will be granted 90 days for tourist travel.
Peru Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Peru. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay for every 180 days for tourist purposes.
United States Portuguese passport holders are eligible to apply for Visa Waiver Program which allows them to travel to the United States for tourist and business purposes. Travelers must fill out the ETSA form which, if approved, is valid for 2 year upon issuance and grants the traveller a 90 day stay.
Uruguay Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Uruguay. A 90 day stay is granted upon entry for tourist purposes only.

Bangladesh Portuguese citizens can obtain a visa on arrival when travelling to Bangladesh. Travelers are granted a 30 day stay and visas are not obtainable at all entry points. Travelers are eligible to apply for a visa extention.
Brunei Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Brunei but are expected to present a passport with 6 months validity upon entry. Travelers are permitted a 90 day stay on arrival for tourist and business purposes.
Cambodia Portuguese passport holders can apply for an eVisa online or obtain a Visa on arrival when travelling to Cambodia. Travelers are expected to present a passpot with 6 months validity. The eVisa is valid for 90 days and grants tourists a 30 day stay.
Indonesia Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Indonesia. Travelers must present a passport with 6 months validity and a return flight ticket. A 30 day tourist stay is granted upon arrival.

Jordan
Kazakhstan Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Kazakhstan. Traveler are granted a 30 day stay for tourist purposes.
Kyrgyzstan Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Kyrgyzstan.Travelers are expected to present a valid passport and are granted a 60 day stay.
Kuwait Portuguese passport holders can apply for an online eVisa or obtain a visa on arrival in Kuwait.Travelers are granted a 3 month stay upon arrival for tourist purposes. If travelers wish to enter for other reasons (visiting family members, business) they are required to apply for a different visa.
Laos Portuguese passport holders can apply for an eVisa online or obtain a visa on arrival when traveling to Laos. Travelers obtaining a visa on arrival must use the following entry points: Luangphabang, Pakse, Savannaket, Vientiane International airports and at 17 boarder crossings. eVisa holders may use the following entry points: Wattay International airport and the Thai-lao friendship bridge. Travelers are granted a 30 day stay extendable for another 60 days.
Lebanon Portuguese citizens can obtain a visa on arrival in Lebanon free of charge at the Beirut international airport. Travelers are granted a 30 day stay on arrival and extendable for another 2 months.
Malaysia Citizens of Portugal do not requie a visa to travel to Malaysia. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay upon arrival and will receive a passport stamp permitting business and tourist activities.
Maldives Portuguese citizens can obtain a visa on arrival in Maldives. A valid passport must be presented and travelers are granted a 30 day stay for tourist purposes. Portuguese citizens can are only permitted to visit Male without a visa. Travelers need to get the permission of the government before travelling to non-tourist areas.
Mongolia Holders of a Portuguese passport can stay for 30 days
Nepal Portuguese passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival at Kathmandu International Airport or any border crossing and are required to present a valid passport. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay.
Oman
Philippines Holders of a Portuguese passport do not require a visa to enter the Philippines. A 30 day stay is granted provided that the traveler presents a passport with a validity of 6 months and has proof of a return/onwards ticket.
Qatar Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Qatar. Travelers are expected to present a valid passport and a return flight ticket. A 90 day stay is granted on arrival.
Saudi Arabia Portuguese passport holders can apply for an online eVisa or a visa on arrival when traveling to Saudi Arabia.Travelers must present a passport with 6 months valid and are granted a 90 day stay.

Tajikistan Holders of a Portuguese passport can stay for 30 days
Thailand Portuguese citizens do not require a visa to travel to Thailand. A 30 day stay is permitted twice yearly if not arriving by air.
Timor-Leste Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Timor Leste. Travelers are required to present a passport with 6 months valid and are granted a 90 day stay every 6 months.
Uzbekistan Portuguese citizens travelling to Uzbekistan only need the passport to enter the country. Travelers are granted a 30 day stay upon arrival.
United Arab Emirates Portuguese citizens travelling to the UAE do not require a visa. Upon arrival at the Dubai International Airport, travelers are granted a 90 day stay every 6 months.
Bahrain Portuguese citizens are allowed for a stay of 14 days.

Burkina Faso Citizens of Portugal can obtain a visa on arrival in Burkina Faso. They can either apply for a single or multiple entry visa which are both valid for 3 months once issued. Travelers are granted a 1 month stay for tourist purposes.
Burundi Holders of a Portuguese passport can stay for 30 days
Cape Verde Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to the Cape Verde Islands. Travelers are required to register 5 days before arriving and will be granted a 30 day for tourist puposes.
Comoros Portuguese citizens traveling to Comoros can obtain a visa upon arrival at any entry points. Travelers are required to pay a fee before being warranted a 45 day stay for tourist purposes.
Egypt Portuguese passport holders can apply for a single or multiple entry eVisa or obtain a visa on arrival. Travelers are requierd to apply for their eVisas at least 7 days prior travel. Upon arrival, travelers must present their eVisa printout and a letter of invitation stating their purpose of travel (tourist, business)and are granted a 30 day stay if they have a valid citizen card.
Eswatini (Swaziland) Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to enter Swaziland. Travelers are granted 30 days upon arrival and are eligible for an extention for a further 30 days. If travelers wish to stay beyond the extention they must apply for a temporary residence permit.
Gabon Portuguese citizens can apply for a single or multiple entry eVisa or obtain a Visa on arrival in Gabon.Travelers are encouraged not to travel without obtaining the Travel Authorisation Receipt. Visitors are granted a 30 or 90 day stay upon arrival at the Libreville International Airport.
Gambia Holders of a Portuguese passport can stay for 90 days
Guinea-Bissau Portuguese passport holders can apply for an eVisa online or a Visa on arrival at the Guinea Bissau International airport. Travelers are required to provide proof of funds, a return flight ticket and a valid passport. Once confirmed, travellers are granted a 90 day stay for tourist purposes.
Lesotho Citizens of Portugal travelling to Lesotho for 14 days or less do not require a visa to enter the country. A valid passport must be presented on arrival.
Madagascar Portuguese citizens travelling to Madagascar can apply for an eVisa online or obtain a visa on arrival. Travelers are encouraged to apply for their eVisa at least 3 days prior travel. On arrival, travelers are granted a 90 day stay.
Malawi Portuguese passport holders can apply for an eVisa online or a Visa on arrival in Malawi. The eVisa is valid for 90 days upon issuance and travelers are granted a 90 day stay upon arrival.
Mauritania Portuguese passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival at the Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International aiport. The length of stay granted is not specified.
Mauritius Portuguese passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Mauritius. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay for tourist purposes only. If travelers wish to work in Mauritius they are required to apply for a work permit.
Morocco Holders or a Portguese passport do not require a visa to enter Morocco. They are required to present a valid passport with at least one blank page and are permitted a 3 month stay.
Mozambique Portuguese passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Mozambique. They are required to provide proof of sufficient funds, accomodation and a return flight ticket. Travelers are granted a 30 day stay for tourist purposes only.
Namibia Holders of a portuguese passport can enter Namibia visa free for a maximum of 3 months every year. Travelers are only allowed to enter visa free on the terms that they are on holiday/visiting family.
Rwanda Portuguese passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an eVisa online when travelling to Rwanda. Travelers are required to have at least one blank page and 6 months validity on their passport upon arrival. A 30 day stay is granted for tourist purposes only.
Sao Tome and Principe Portuguese citizens do not require a visa to enter Sao Tome and Principe. A 15 day stay is granted upon arrival for tourist purposes only.
Senegal Citiens of Portugal travelling to Senegal do not require a visa but must present a valid passport on arrival. A 90 day stay is granted for tourist purposes only.
Seychelles Portuguese citizens travelling to Seychelles do not need a visa to enter. Travelers are required to have a passport valid for the intended stay, proof of sufficient funds and accomodation. A 3 month stay is granted upon entry.
Sierra Leone Portugal citizens traveling to Sierra Leone can obtain a visa on arrival. Travelers are required to present a passport valid for the intended stay and are granted a 30 day tourist stay.
Somalia Portuguese passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival at Berbera,Borama,Burao, Erigavo and Hargeisa airports. A 30 day stay is granted upon arrival at Mogadishu, Bosaso and Galcaio aiports.The stay permitted is for tourist purposes only.
South Africa Portuguese citizens travelling to South Africa do not require a visa to enter the country. Travelers are granted a 90 day stay upon arrival.
Tanzania Portuguese passport holders can apply for an eVisa online or a Visa on arrival when traveling to Tanzania.The eVisa is valid for one year and travelers are permitted a 3 month stay upon arrival for tourism, leisure and health purposes.
